Get a Google+ account and start interacting!
We tried to avoid it but a Google+ account seems inevitable. It’s social networking+ a lot more! Updates made on Google+ dominate Google results (as you’d expect!) so you can’t afford to ignore it. If you use it well you’ll get lots more people reading your posts… and you’ll get more traffic!
You can get a Google+ account working hard for you in less than 10 minutes a day.
Here’s how you start off:
- +1 ‘like’ posts your discover (and comment where appropriate)
- Add +1 buttons to your own posts so others can do the same.
- Start adding people you know like or admire (in your industry) to your Google circles (like a friends list).
- Make it easy for people to circle you by adding ‘follow me’ buttons. The number of people that “have you in their circles” (Google+) is a social signal that helps Google see you as popular… which means your rankings & posts get a boost.

Remember we reckon it only takes 10 minutes a day of ‘working smarter’ to get ahead of your competition. Google+ is a great example. Maybe it’s time you brainstormed what ELSE you could do to free yourself from the time grind?
